From Monologue to Dialogue: The Magic of  Slido

As someone who frequently gives presentation, I have often pondered how to make them mote engaging and less like a one-way lecture. I discovered Slido in Education Technology session and it has changed the way I engage with my audience.

The integration process was smooth, I quickly loaded the Slido-Point add-in  and included live polls, word cloud, and Q&A slides in my existing presentation. The first time I tried Slido in PgCert Micro-teaching activity, I was astounded by how it brought my session to life. The audience could participate using their smartphones to answer polls in real time, submit anonymous questions and vote on the most relevant answer.

The most noticeable change was the shift in energy. Instead of passively listening, my audience became active participants. A word cloud exercise produce innovative ideas, while a live poll yielded unexpected findings that shifted conversations in new ways. The Q&A section ensured that everyone's voice was heard, including those who were scared to speak up. This experience, showed  me that presentations do not need to be static. With Slido, I could encourage real-time interaction, making the session mote lively and memorable. If you want to alter your PowerPoint presentations. I highly recommend using Slido- it's a Game Changer!!!
